Startup Braga is the Municipality of Braga’s innovation hub, designed to support the creation of technology-based projects with global ambitions and the potential to reach international markets. As such, the technology-based incubator works to promote entrepreneurship and the creation, incubation and acceleration of startups.

Pre-acceleration Programmes
Designed to help entrepreneurs better understand the problem they want to solve, validating and defining their business models (Startup Point & Empreender@Braga).
Acceleration Programmes
Designed to help startups validate their business model, build a strong product to reach new markets and consumers, and give them the opportunity to scale their product, supported by a network of partners and mentors (Startup Braga Acceleration Programme, Global Health Accelerator, SCB Innovation Hub & iTech Tourism).
Incubation Programmes
Which give entrepreneurs access to a network of partners, mentors and national and international experts, as well as office, coworking or hot seating spaces.

Support for Applications
The innovation hub has supported entrepreneurship through initiatives such as Call Innov-ID (support for applications as an Ignition Partner of Portugal Ventures), Startup Visa and StartUp Voucher (as an incubator accredited by the National Incubator Network (RNI)).
In 2025, the innovation hub plans to start work on setting up a new Centre for the Valorisation and Transfer of Technologies (CVTT), with the aim of filling a market gap in the region and responding to the growing need for laboratory validation of startups.
